Arrival and Departure Times When should I arrive in State College,
Pennsylvania, and when should I plan to leave? - If you plan to attend
one of the two satellite symposia that precede the main meeting events, you should
arrive in State College on Friday, June 17. You will be able to pick up your badge
and registration materials at Eisenhower Auditorium on the Penn State University
Park campus on Friday afternoon or evening (4:00-10:00 p.m.) or Saturday morning
from after 7:00 a.m. The satellite symposia begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday in
the auditorium.
- If you plan to attend the ASV'05 welcome reception and the
keynote address, you should arrive by mid-afternoon on Saturday, June 18. The
welcome reception begins at 3:00 p.m., and there will be sufficient food and beverages
to allow you to skip supper. There will not be an evening meal served for participants
on Saturday. The keynote address begins at 5:30 p.m.
- The final event of the
meeting is the symposium on Wednesday, June 22. If you will be attending this
event, you should plan to leave no earlier than the afternoon of Wednesday, June
22.
- Of course, you and your guests may want to spend some time sightseeing
in the area either before or after the ASV meeting. Consider the many local attractions,
recreation areas, and historic sites along the way. Visit other areas of this
Web site for some suggestions.
