“You shouldn’t have!” Laura squealed and jumped up and down. She was practicing the enthusiasm she was going to show when Doug presented her with the plans for the new kitchen units. She would have much preferred something a little more indulgent, like a nice piece of jewelry for an anniversary present, but Doug had worked really hard on figuring out what kind of kitchen island with butcher block top and built in wine cooler she would like best. She had stumbled across the plans as she was tidying up the office. She had also found a receipt for a wine merchant and she had put two and two together and figured out that he was going to surprise her with the promise of building the multi-purpose improvement for their kitchen. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that his gift was incredibly well thought out and generous.
