ASV Banquet
Registrants may purchase tickets to attend this one-of-a-kind event to be held the evening of Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Penn State's Beaver Stadium, the second-largest college football stadium in the nation and home to the Nittany Lions. Experience Penn State hospitality by joining us for a mock tailgate party, and tour the two-level, interactive All Sports Museum, which celebrates men's and women's sports at Penn State. Enjoy drinks, entertainment, and casual buffet dining, as well as the Penn State Creamery's world famous ice cream with Hershey toppings, just to add to the local flavor. Beaver Stadium is a 15-minute walk from campus housing. A limited number of tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

ASV Dance
The annual ASV dance will be held after the banquet in the Mount Nittany Club in Beaver Stadium. All ASV registrants are invited to come, have a drink, and dance to the tunes provided by the premiere DJ of the region. What do you want to dance to? Send us your requests! E-mail your artist or music style requests by the end of May to dance@asv2005.com.

Beaver Stadium--Banquet Site for ASV 2005
Named after Pennsylvania Governor James A. Beaver, the looming stadium becomes the third largest community in Pennsylvania on Penn State home football Saturdays when more than 107,000 fans fill its seats to watch the Nittany Lions. The stadium's capacity is second only to Michigan's. Beaver Stadium with its intricate web of steel beams rises over the campus as a magnificent arena unparalleled in collegiate sports. Our Tuesday night banquet will be held atop the stadium in the plush Mount Nittany lounge, offering a tremendous view of Mount Nittany in the comfortable setting of a resort lounge. We are pleased to offer ASV delegates the best hospitality suite in the State of Pennsylvania for our banquet, along with gourmet regional food served with the casual flair of an all-American sports stadium. Entrance to Beaver stadium will be via the Penn State All-Sports Museum (free admission to the museum with your banquet registration). You can choose to take a tour of the museum, or enjoy drinks with colleagues, before or after dinner. You will then take an elevator four stories up to the Lounge for dinner and incredible views of Mt. Nittany and the stadium.

The ASV annual dance will be held in the Mount Nittany Lounge at 9 p.m.

Fourth Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk
This informal run or walk follows a tree-dotted route through the Penn State golf course, across the street from the main campus. Participants assemble at the plaza in front of the Information Sciences and Technology (IST) building at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 19. There will be a timer at the end of the course but no prizes. You must complete the entry form and waiver available on this Web site to participate in this event. The $15 (U.S. currency) registration fee is not refundable. Proceeds support participating ASV virology clubs.

Parking on-campus
Vehicles parked on-campus must have a valid Penn State parking permit during weekdays. Please purchase a Penn State parking permit ($20) if you plan to drive to the conference and need to park on campus. Parking permits can be purchased with your conference registration and can be picked up upon arrival at the ASV registration desk in Eisenhower Auditorium. Parking in the garage behind the auditorium is free on weekends. Limited visitor parking is available at the Eisenhower Parking Deck for $6 each weekday, however, spaces fill quickly and we cannot guarantee available parking.

If you are staying at one of the hotels with an ASV room block, we recommend keeping your car parked at the hotel (at no charge) and walking to/from campus or taking the hotel shuttle or campus bus to/from campus.
